Well, a lot of sore legs today, including mine. Yesterday's ride was long and hot and took a lot out of most people. So, rest was the order of the day. Only problem, another 86 miles to do. There are no rest days on this tour...

Wandered out of Spokane and groaned up the first hill. This was going to be fun! We finally left Washington today. A nice county I'm sure, but there was only one way through for us and it was monotenous to say the least. We crossed into Idaho and onto real lanes for nearly the first time. Some nice property along Dufort Rd and we had a good lunch - burgers - in the state park.

I rode some of the way with Ray Williams from CA. We rode in nice and steady to Sandpoint. My legs were loosening a bit towards the end, but it had been a tougher day than expected.

1st state change
Welcome to Idaho
Lunch is up
